Angie Fontana (MSN, ARNP)
Sponsorship Committee Member
In 2023, I enthusiastically became a part of the SHARPVUE Irmo International Festival team, focusing on expanding local business sponsorships. My role was instrumental in increasing funding for this dynamic event, with a key objective being to shine a spotlight on sponsors' brands. By fostering strategic partnerships, we aimed to create a win-win scenario where sponsors enjoyed heightened visibility and a boosted business image, while the festival thrived as a result of their support. Our mission is to make 2024 a year of remarkable collaboration, enriching both the festival experience and the local business community.
Mayor Bill Danielson
Irmo Town Mayor
As the newly elected Mayor of Irmo I am very pleased to be part of our Annual International Festival. Speaking internationally, this past April my daughter and I spent 10 days in Europe. This was no ordinary trip! We followed in my fathers WW II footsteps from his landing at Utah Beach (September 1944 post d-day) through France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany. We had researched his Army history for years in preparation for this trip.
As it turns out, Dad served in the Third Army under General George Patton. He was attached to the 80 Infantry, 319 Regiment ,Company E. As a rifleman and marksman he fought his way through these countries while being wounded in action twice and awarded two purple hearts. In all he spent two years abroad serving this great country. This was an emotional trip for my daughter and I. I would recommend everyone go see these countries and the history they have to offer. We were treated wonderfully all along the way.
